چکیده
This paper develops the concept of labour regimes as an application to better understand multi-stakeholder initiatives that are established govern in global production networks. The approach connects both dynamics and territorialised economic, political, social formations understanding outcomes at workplace. helps explicate intersection labour, capital, state, configured across time space. I argue such analytical can reveal often contested, sometimes obscured relations between stakeholders how they shape progress sustainability initiatives. make this case by taking Accord on Fire Building Safety Bangladeshi apparel industry empirical example. study takes a different from existing works Accord. With having completed its tenure 2019, specifically focuses absence two key national - state manufactures Steering Committee Accord, examines affected Accord’s ability deliver objectives. Based qualitative research around Dhaka garment cluster, demonstrates manufacturers engendered paradoxical outcomes. While it helped successfully implement building safety program short-term, transition end tenure, thus long-term was lack commitment mandate.
